Associate Director Content Marketing

About the Role:
As Associate Director Content Marketing you will collaborate with multiple functions such as the CleverTap leadership team, product, data science, performance marketing, field marketing, etc., and help build compelling content that will help establish CleverTap as a category creator, a thought leader brand as well as help drive traffic and demand. You will do research, identify content gaps, build content strategy for various industry verticals and personas, build content plan for various customer journeys, create and design the content in appropriate forms. He/she will collaborate with the performance marketing team to build the distribution plan, measure the impact and make appropriate course corrections.

What will you do:
- Develop content creation and distribution strategy for CleverTap
- Identify customer journeys and develop content journeys to accelerate the customer journeys
- Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print, and in-person. This to be done for each buyer persona within the enterprise.
- Mapping out a content/keyword strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why. Continuous evolution of strategy is a must.
- Develop and manage a functional content calendar throughout the enterprise verticals, and define the owners in each vertical to particular persona groups.
- Supervise writers, editors, content and SEO strategists; be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
- Work closely with Paid Marketing team to develop a measurable and results-driven content distribution strategy including social /channel distribution
- Conduct ongoing research, leverage listening tools, conduct usability tests to gauge content effectiveness. Gather data and handle analytics (or supervise those who do) and make recommendations based on those results.
- Measure, analyze, and report on content performance – inclusive of audits of existing content performance to refresh and adjust for emerging priorities. Work with owners of particular content to revise and measure particular content and marketing goals. 
- Develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing.
- Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view and educate customers that leads to critical behavioural metrics.
- Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, designing, publishing, and retiring content.
-Ensure consistent global experience and implement appropriate localization/translation strategies.

What are we looking for? 
Must have: 
- 10+ years experience in marketing (B2B SaaS preferred) with MBA/Professional degree in Marketing
- Prior experience in building and managing content strategy for global audiences with at least 3+ years of experience in managing a team of content writers
- Experience developing multi-audience, full-funnel B2B content journeys and content experiences, as well as the associated KPIs for measuring the success of these efforts
- Impeccable writing and editing skills
- Leadership/ Behavioral: Strategic/ growth mindset, collaboration, communication, people management and influence

Good to have:
- Experience in writing for marketing, MarTech, SaaS, and B2B
- Experience in managing global content and design teams, with an understanding for global vs. local content strategy, creation, localization vs. translation, etc.
- Experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, WebTrends, SalesForce, etc. and project management/content marketing platforms like Asana, Uberflip, WordPress, PathFactory, etc.
- Functional: Understanding of other marketing functions e.g. Digital Marketing

Measures of Success:
- Funnel generation - Website traffic, engagement, form fills
- Conversion - Website visitors to form fills, asset downloads etc.
- Content distribution - Reach, engagement and form fills
- Brand visibility - Views, share of voice
