Please note that this position is based in Princeton, NJ. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office on average three days per week.

Position Summary: 

The Associate Director, Digital Marketing is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for driving Acadia’s U.S. digital marketing initiatives for an assigned brand. This role plays a critical part in launching and sustaining digital campaigns that engage both healthcare professionals and consumer audiences. With a strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, user experience, and emerging digital trends, the Associate Director will lead the development and execution of integrated digital strategies that align with brand goals, enhance engagement, and drive performance. Collaborating cross-functionally and managing key agency and vendor partnerships, this individual will bring a data-driven mindset, operational excellence, and a passion for innovation to elevate Acadia’s digital presence in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of a digital marketing strategy aligned with the brand strategy
  • Directs the user experience (UX) for marketing websites
  • Evaluates and implements innovative technologies and tactics aligned with digital marketing objectives
  • Executes the tactical plans and activities of digital strategy, including those supporting paid media
  • Leads the implementation of an integrated cross-functional, omnichannel plan across digital channels
  • Leads the development of social media strategy across consumer, patient/caregiver, and HCP audiences
  • Leads updates to brand.com
  • Monitors website analytics and develops recommendations for subsequent DSE.com and brand.com releases
  • Partners with Commercial Insights, Analytics, and Operations to incorporate customer insights
  • Partners with and supports cross-functional departments/colleagues, such as HCP Marketing, Patient Support Services, Commercial Operations, and Sales.
  • Engages with AORs and supplier partners to drive tactical plan performance effectively and efficiently
  • Develops and delivers presentations as needed to commercial leadership and other internal groups
  • Participates in and adheres to MLR submission and review processes
  • Coordinates, manages, and monitors project budgets
  • Adheres to all corporate policies and industry guidelines in a compliant manner

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressively-responsible experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry within the Marketing arena, including 6 years of digital marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry required within the Marketing arena, or a combination of both
  • Healthcare and Consumer Marketing experience preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Biopharma brand management and multi-channel tactical experience
  • Demonstrated experience building multi-channel marketing campaigns with a strong emphasis on digital
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and deriving business insights from performance data for all relevant digital communication channels, including website, email, SEM, display, and social media promotions
  • Demonstrated successes in one or more areas of marketing development, execution, and measurement (e.g., market research, campaign development, program development, tactical implementation, ROI analysis)
  • Demonstrated experience directing partner suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interface/collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate issues and results within and across functional areas, and deliver presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines
  • Able to make and prioritize process and resource decisions based on overall team needs.
  • Skilled at building effective relationships
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedule or business needs.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. 

Salary Range
$120,000$149,900 USD
