Opportunity Overview 

As the technical product manager for prediction and planning, you will be the agile product owner for the decision-making portion of the autonomous vehicle stack.  

Requirements

  • M.S. in Computer Science or relevant engineering field, including coursework in machine learning
  • 3+ years as a Product Manager in robotics or machine learning
  • Experience with Scrum and agile methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Must be able to spend extended periods of time testing and documenting algorithmic progress in vehicle
  • Strong business background, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Coding experience - you should be able to use and test the products you’re helping to build
  • Prefer prior experience building products involving machine learning algorithms
  • Prefer MBA
  • Valid U.S. driver's license (willingness to qualify for Class A CDL)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the technical lead, development team, project management, and others to deliver a productized version of prediction and motion planning algorithms
  • Ensure that our truck behaves in a safe and predictable manner on the road
  • Write requirements at the algorithm-level to ensure that all development is traceable to a specific requirement and acceptance criteria
  • Support the team to comply with relevant regulatory standards
  • Understand and refine ambiguous needs into a highly defined and effective product road map
  • Iterate quickly as needs or priorities within the company shift
  • Completely own delivery of your product(s)
