Benefit & Payroll Administrator

EverQuote is hiring a Benefit and Payroll Administrator to oversee all aspects of our awesome benefits program! This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring accurate benefit records are maintained, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations and ensuring efficient processes are in place to support benefit enrollment and maintenance. You will work closely with finance, accounting, talent, and our employees, fielding and consulting on individual’s questions about their benefits. The right person for this role has a proactive attitude, thinks no questions is too small, and has truly exceptional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Onboard and enroll new employees in benefits and maintain benefit records and employee files
  • Administer benefit software and function as the  primary contact for benefit brokers, carriers, and providers
  • Assist employees with benefit questions benefit enrollment, claim issues, and provide plan education as needed.
  • Help organize, input and document payroll changes
  • Perform benefit invoice reconciliations – which include but not limited to Health (medical, dental, FSA), Commuter, Life, Accident, Disability, and Retirement 401(k).
  • Track employee benefit information in vendor systems and coordinate with payroll changes when appropriate
  • Coordinate end-of-employment benefits and work with COBRA administrator
  • Work with the Company’s insurance provider as needed for insurance claims
  • Responsible for the annual Benefit Open Enrollment and retirement plan processes, in collaboration with CFO and VP, Talent Acquisition & Development
  • Work closely with the benefit vendors to ensure compliance with mandated regulations and required communications – ERISA, FMLA, Medicare, etc.
  • Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and analysis
  • Ad hoc projects and other job duties as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree. 1-2 years of employee benefit administration or related experience preferred
  • Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and an appreciation for thoroughness and detail
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, courteous, adaptable, and flexible
