The Role

We are looking for a candidate who can work closely with Sales & Marketing managers to provide insights through developing reports and visualisations. The Business Intelligence Analyst will have a strong interest in understanding key business processes and commercial implications.

  • Be able to identify and output relevant data based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Generate and manipulate large data sets using a variety of tools / methods (Looker, Salesforce, Excel Pivot Tables, SQL, etc.)
  • Translate business questions to data and analysis requirements; carry out data mining, analysis, visualisation and presentation.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for MarketFinance partners and work towards automating transactional tasks.


  • Looker (or 2+ years experience with any data visualisation tool)
  • Must be able to write SQL queries from scratch and edit complex queries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Able to investigate discrepancies in data, trace back the information source and explain issues found.
  • Experience as an Insight/Data/BI/MI Analyst or graduate with relevant business/technical/analytical degree.
  • Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and data, and the ability to get into the details while seeing and understanding the bigger commercial picture.
  • A natural with data. When presented with data, you're quick to understand what it is telling us and the best way to show this.
  • Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear, compelling communications.
  • Inquisitive and can develop a good working relationship with Sales and Marketing managers
  • High level of autonomy (completes task end-to-end, proactively reaches out to stakeholders to gather inputs, etc)
