Invicro is the world’s leading translational imaging company, based in London (UK), Boston and New Haven (USA). Invicro specialises in molecular and functional imaging studies to support medical and pharmaceutical research. The London site where this role is based, operates a unique clinical and pre-clinical imaging centre with state-of-the-art PET and MRI technology used to support clinical research.

We are looking for a Bioanalyst to run day to day analysis of biological samples in order to support the quantitative analysis of PET imaging data (clinical and pre-clinical) and to develop analytical methods for metabolite analysis.

Responsibilities:

To deliver day to day analysis of biological samples including blood/plasma, using a range of analytical techniques.

  • To develop metabolite analysis methods for PET radiopharmaceuticals using HPLC/SPE.
  • To ensure compliance with Bioanalysis laboratories and the appropriate regulatory requirements in the UK.
  • To support the daily operations within the Bioanalysis Labs.
  • To support the other laboratories in the routine analysis of samples when required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Sc. in a relevant subject with demonstrated ability to develop analytical chemistry methods.
  • Good knowledge of analytical chemistry systems, especially High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), including equipment troubleshooting.
  • Good analytical and technical skills sets are preferred.
  • Experience in working with ionising radiation in PET or related applications is preferred.
  • Good understanding of metabolic pathways and/or pharmacological principles are preferred.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Excellent integration within the team and with other member of staff for the lab activities.
  • Pro-active and logical approach to problem solving, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently generate, collate, evaluate, discuss, and draw conclusions from experimental data.
  • Ability to cope with work in a stressful environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility to accommodate clinical schedule and last-minute changes.
  • Ability to provide analysed data effectively whenever required by the Line Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in order to interact and communicate with other departments.
