Brand Director, The Week and The Week Junior

The Week and The Week Junior exist to help adults and children alike with ‘Making Sense of the World’. We publish magazines and digital products in the US and UK that reach hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers and millions more digitally.

As Brand Director, The Week and The Week Junior you will join the senior leadership team for the news vertical at Future with responsibilities spanning US and UK, print and digital. You will report to and support the Managing Director in developing and delivering the growth strategy on these powerhouse brands working closely with editorial leadership and a wide range of internal partners from subscriptions marketing, advertising, events, production and others.

What you'll be doing...

We are looking for a natural collaborator and brilliant communicator who is highly organised and comfortable working across multiple important projects at the same time. You will be a strategic thought partner for the MD, and ensure that projects and initiatives get done. You will relish thinking, talking and building a brand. You will be commercially savvy, data driven and highly numerate.

  • Act as ‘Chief of Staff’ for the News vertical, ensuring that the MD and other stakeholders are aware of and focusing on the big strategic priorities
  • Manage strategic projects through excellent organisation and collaboration skills - ensuring the right people are having the right conversations at the right time with actions documented and followed up on
  • Own the cross-brand meetings, reporting and business information the MD requires to run the business and report up to the Executive Leadership team

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
  • Project management/leadership experience
  • Data driven and highly numerate
  • Track record of success in previous commercial, consumer facing roles, e.g. brand marketing
  • Knowledge of and experience in media and publishing (print and/or digital) preferred but not essential
