Marketing Intern - Role description

The Strava Marketing Intern will assist in the development of strategic initiatives and provide tactical, executional support to the marketing team. The Marketing Intern will work under the direction of the sport-specific Brand Managers and will assist with operational and logistical marketing needs. The non-exhaustive functions and requirements of this role are comprehensively detailed here.

Other duties to include but not limited to:

  • Data pulls
  • Pro race activity + remarkable activity identification and collection
  • Assist in development and implementation of Strava Spark program
  • Assist with events and field marketing
  • Assist with content production
  • Content strategy research and assistance
  • Assist with administration of Strava Pro Badge program

Desired skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Resourceful, adaptable
  • Able to both receive direction and work autonomously
  • Events and field marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of Strava, Strava Clubs, Strava pages
  • Deep knowledge of all disciplines of cycling (mountain, road, cyclocross, urban, track) and running (track, road, trail, ultra)
  • A good understanding of what engages and inspires athletes
  • A conscientious approach and desire to always meet the highest of standards
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills
  • An eye for detail
