The Job

Rainmaking is on a mission to use the power of entrepreneurship to solve the world's biggest problems. Now, we are looking for a motivated individual to drive Rainmaking's brand marketing & communications strategy and delivery.

You will work closely with the regional CMO and the broader Commercial/Business Development Team to inspire, educate and inform the corporate venture community and expand Rainmaking's reach and reputation in the region. You will be tasked with significant responsibility and freedom to drive the marketing agenda, and will play a vital and strategic role in the growth of one of Asia's leading venture development firms working across the vibrant startup ecosystem and corporate sector.

Responsibilities

  • Taking brand guardianship for Rainmaking APAC to position Rainmaking as a leader in the ventures development space
  • Developing and shaping our brand strategy, vision, creative direction and integrated marketing communications plans. You’ll ensure these deliver the company vision, strategy and growth messages to effectively engage investors, customers, prospective talents and partners in key geographies
  • Leading and executing earned content platform strategies as well as aligning paid media strategies across all social platforms. You’ll ensure delivery on the brand promise from the multiple digital online and offline touchpoints, alignment with sales & marketing calendar/milestones/deliverables)
  • Developing and implementing a content strategy focused on aggressive growth of our organic channels - that inspires, educates and informs the corporate venture and startup community (conceptualisation, development, execution, channel planning etc.);
  • Driving Content Creation; Community and Programs “Always on content”: Own our cross-channel editorial calendar (community management, website, social media & platform management) from development to execution, with a focus on blog, email, newsletter, and social content. Brand campaigns, talent campaigns, interviews, programme case studies, content commentary, features, profiles, pitches etc.
  • Leading the development of cornerstone website copy, incl. product pages, landing pages, and business narrative
  • Creating long-form content (white papers, evergreen articles), with freelance support as required
  • Establishing a data-driven approach to inform and build and execute our overall digital strategy to increase awareness and engagement. This includes producing, scheduling and managing content, as well as connecting with our community
  • Media planning: Familiarity with strengths and weaknesses of multiple platforms in order to determine best media mix, as well as appropriate budget allocation based on required results.
  • Tracking, analysing and reporting on the performance of all marketing activities
  • Partnering with the different teams and functional teams to translate brand strategy into programs that support their business/programs
  • Supporting in the management of creative freelancers, agencies, partners/vendor management
  • Keeping up to date with digital marketing trends, best practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • Significant experience and evidence of impact in brand management, digital marketing, content management, with hands-on knowledge in paid media management
  • Integrated marketing communications experience with an ability to define & manage the execution of our regional marketing strategy including content initiatives, events and media
  • Ability to craft and distribute exceptional written and visual content
  • Demonstrated project management & coordination ability
  • Graphic/visual design skills or an eye for aesthetics is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices, including ability to conduct ad-hoc keyword research
  • Understanding of social media best practices, with a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging trends
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, and social management software (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc)
  • Basic experience with design software (e.g. Adobe InDesign) is a plus
