Pocket is now seeking a smart, self-motivated and resourceful individual to join our team as an Brand Partnerships Manager in the SF Bay Area or New York to help take our thriving sales efforts to a new level. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building new business opportunities via inside sales and prospecting while supporting the enterprise sales team with sales marketing, proposals, research and analytics to help scale Pocket’s media sales business. This is a fabulous opportunity with a direct growth path to an outside sales role within an innovative, growing and dynamic organization.

The Role

  • Actively prospect for new clients and opportunities across Fortune 500, mid market and SMB sectors
  • Directly sell media programs across Pocket’s network of media and newsletter assets to SMB/Midmarket clients and achieve assigned quotas.
  • Support the enterprise sales team via research, proposal development, strategic planning and program analytics
  • Understand client needs and present relevant solutions
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure sufficient opportunities exist to meet revenue goals
  • Understand market dynamics and how Pocket fits into the digital media landscape
  • Track, analyze and communicate performance of advertiser campaigns on Pocket
  • Keep up-to-date and detailed records of sales activity through a CRM solution
  • Present client feedback to Pocket product and marketing teams and work to develop new sales offerings to meet client needs

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of related work experience in prospecting, inside sales, client services or sales support roles within the digital media industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strategic, consultative sales approach and the ability to understands client needs, create relevant solutions, set proper expectations and close meaningful deals
  • Detailed knowledge of online media planning terms and processes
  • Deep understanding of native advertising and content marketing
  • Understanding of cross platform sales (desktop, mobile, in app)
  • Demonstrated record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
  • Dynamic, flexible, hard-working and highly organized approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self starter that is well organized with good attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems
  • Passion for technology and education
