Who You Are:

  • Responsible, creative marketing strategist with a balanced mix of ‘right brain’ and ‘left brain’ skills
  • Interested in being on the cutting edge of producing branded content videos for social media platforms and finding the right solutions for our brand partners
  • Organized and able to juggle multiple projects on sometimes tight deadlines
  • Highly collaborative and interested in fitting the pieces together to solve the sometimes complex puzzle of how to respond to brand briefs and RFPs
  • A visual thinker with an eye for how to tell a story and package our ideas in a highly appealing way through words, images, and video
  • Love sports and have broad knowledge base spanning different types of sports (football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, lacrosse, hockey, eSports, action sports, etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales and branded content teams to develop creative responses to client RFPs and briefs
  • Proactively develop programs based around specific talent, sports leagues, broadcast partnerships, and major sports tentpoles for Whistle Sports to take to market for sponsorship
  • Create sales materials including proposals, presentations, one sheet brochures, and videos
  • Work closely with account management team to ensure projects are managed flawlessly from conception to execution, on time and on budget
  • Liaise with Whistle Sports talent and community team to ensure we sell campaigns and branded content that our creators are excited to participate in
  • Project manage pipeline of sales pitches to ensure every plan and presentation is delivered on time
  • Work with design team to create images and sizzle videos that assist in the illustration our ideas to our brand partners
  • Ability to pivot quickly in response to client feedback in order to deliver proposals that fit their specifications

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing (agency, client, or publisher) with a minimum of two years experience working in marketing at a publisher
  • Excellent knowledge of presentation software (Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Slides)
  • Basic design skills preferred (Photoshop, InDesign) along with a terrific creative taste level
  • Understanding of trends that shaping today/tomorrow’s client media and content investment and how to leverage them as a digital publisher to drive revenue growth
  • Strong executional abilities with proven record of managing many projects at once
  • Strong writing skills, including ability to distill complex media/content/advertising jargon into an easy to understand summary and value proposition
