Business Analyst

We’re looking for a permanent addition to our IT department to help us enable new projects for success, engaging business stakeholders and drawing out a clear understanding of the problem space to help development teams.

This is an exciting role for a junior business analyst who can:

  • Organise elaboration workshops with stakeholders to identify, capture and clarify requirements.
  • Clearly capture and visualise business problems, requirements, process flows and user profiles.
  • Collaborate with delivery and product managers to break down work into small, testable deliverables.
  • Help delivery and product manages create and manage a backlog of work for delivery team(s).

The Team

The IT department is made up of multi-skilled agile teams including development, delivery management, product management and quality assurance roles.

The role would initially be based in our ERP team, who are working to migrate us from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Business central. They are working closely with our Merchandising team to help improve their processes as a key driver for this migration.

You would be working alongside a consultant BA to support on creation of the team’s roadmap and backlog and would benefit from their experience. The successful candidate would replace this consultant in due course.

The role will be supported by a Senior BA who will provide coaching and learning opportunities. Within Footasylum the BA function is highly mobile and provide support wherever needed on a wide range of different projects for different areas of the business.

We’re looking for someone who can take complex systems and create clarity, simplicity and be able to share their findings with the wider team. You will be inquisitive and have no issues with asking lots of questions.

You care about understanding and solving problems for stakeholders and will build strong working relationships through empathy.

You will have the skills and confidence to identify and engage the right people for every conversation.

Salary & Benefits 

We’re offering a salary of up to £40,000 for the right person, which we assess based on your own experiences, business analysis skills and against the principles of our department and our ways of working. Primarily the role will be remote and while there is no intention for the team to go back to full time office work any time soon, candidates within reasonable distance of our offices in Rochdale and Manchester are preferable to enable face to face team and stakeholder sessions in the future.
