Business Analyst - Operator Relations

The essence of the role

As Operator Relations Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Operator Relations Team to maintain and develop current partnerships with Mobile Network Operators across the Europe. You’ll collaborate closely with the global sales and operational teams to ensure local knowledge is built, shared and used throughout Sinch to win new business and grow existing clients. You will look after the analysis and reporting of commercial and operational performance, using your existing skills to drive insight and commercial opportunity from our data. You will be an integral part of our experienced operator-facing commercial team reporting to the Head of Operator Relations for Europe.

As our new Operator Relations Specialist you will:

  • Assist in establishing and managing relations with operator partners from initiating contact, negotiating and finalising contracts through to ensuring the launch of the technical connections.
  • Work closely with support teams to optimise customer experience including raising to and advising our operator partners in the process.
  • Cooperate closely with our EMEIA and Global sales teams. Operator Relations works hand in hand with our sales and product colleagues to ensure every commercial opportunity is explored and consideration made.
  • Support Operator Relations Europe team to meet its targets through insight driven data and insights from operator partners and our commercial organizations.
  • Monitor, analyse and improve commercial performance with each of our Operator connections, keeping track of costs and invoices to identify cost saving opportunities as well as managing the invoice reconciliation process.
  • Learn the CPaaS industry, our products and services, as well as regionally specific market conditions to support new opportunities.

We would like you to be based at our headquarters in the Stockholm office, but as we have presence in many European centers other locations can be considered for the right candidate.

Who are you?

We believe you have experience from the CPaaS industry or Mobile Network Operator world, alongside strong commercial experience and technical aptitude. You are comfortable working with decision makers on all levels across product, support, technology and sales. It’s important that you are a self-starter and comfortable working closely with new people for advice and support. The role sometimes requires working across different time zones and travel. As a person you are energetic, pragmatic, diligent, humble and you like to learn and get things done.

In order to contribute in this role you have:

  • Existing experience from sales or other commercial roles towards mobile network operators, from within the CPaaS industry or have worked at a mobile network operator
  • Degree in Business Administration, engineering or similar academic area, or relevant work experience from tech-company/solution
  • Strong analytical skills with developed data interpretation and presentation techniques
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to quickly understand technical solutions
  • Outgoing personality who enjoys reaching out and building relationships with people both internally and externally
  • Fluency in English plus another European language

Big Plus

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Experience with enterprise messaging
  • Experience with mobile or digital channels
  • Experience with SaaS
  • Understanding of industry technologies such as SMPP connectivity, SS7 networks and SMS Firewalls
  • Data analytics skills with programs such as Tableau
