Business Development Executive

We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to develop our presence and sell our SAAS solutions within the Banking and Financial Services sector. You’ll be working with our clients closely to solve their real life business problems. It’s a proactive, high-energy, fast-paced environment but we’ll give you the support and training you need to thrive.

We have developed modern, web based applications that allow our growing list of international clients to detect, and ultimately prevent, illegal money transfers. We reduce crime and criminal activity through the creative use of technology & design and disrupt the compliance industry while doing so.

After securing Series A in a funding round led by Balderton Capital, and tripling our revenue each year, we are now scaling the business globally into international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads using the latest techniques and tools, including leveraging marketing content via social media channels, attending marketing events and generating referrals
  • Engage with senior decision makers in financial services companies (and others), educate them on our product features and benefits and qualify the potential opportunity
  • Manage and prioritise both inbound and outbound leads
  • Negotiate and close deals with prospects
  • Support client on-boarding as required
  • Contribute towards training materials and support on-boarding training for future employees as the company expands

Requirements

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for a smart, ambitious and motivated individual that doesn’t take themselves too seriously to join our team. You must be a passionate self-starter that is self-directed, able to both execute independently and in collaboration with others.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record in generating new business within a corporate B2B sales environment. You will have a minimum of 18 months in a lead generation/sales or growth hacking role, preferably in B2B cloud/SaaS software or financial services/compliance.

This experience will be backed up with clear evidence of direct business wins generated through your previous work – with the successes, failures, and numbers to prove it. Including proof of operational experience in using social media and the latest techniques to develop interest from leads either given to you or self-generated.
