SUMMER 2023 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Rocket Lab is looking for students interested in working in the aerospace industry- from Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineers- to Supply Chain professionals! Our internship program will allow students to get hands on experience in Aerospace jobs from our Space Systems department to our latest Neutron rocket! Our positions are not limited to only engineering students! Students must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program (freshman – postgraduate).

SPACE SYSTEMS

The Space Systems Division is shaping Rocket Lab’s future with Photon, our brand of high-performance satellites, enabling innovative missions in low Earth orbit and beyond including missions for NASA to LEO, the Moon, and Mars and commercial customers including leading the design and manufacture of 17 high power telecommunication spacecraft buses for Globalstar.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO: 

As an intern, you’ll work closely with your mentor and other employees within the department to apply your knowledge and grow your skills both technically and professionally
Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges!
Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisor to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates
Enjoy tech talks and network with other interns and employees through social and professional events
Business development – you will get to support business development and new business capture with proposal development, satellite and mission formulation, market analysis and research, cost modeling, and strategic planning

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

GPA of 3.5 or above
Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s OR master’s degree program; and have at least one semester of school remaining after completion of internship
3+ months of sales, business development, finance, operations, or other business experience through university team/project experience, internships, or labs
Able to work onsite full-time while not enrolled in coursework for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2023

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation offer package based on individual qualifications and experience, including company stock.
