Business Development Manager

As an enterprise-focused business development manager, you would be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing business opportunities that drive exponential demand for contractor-sourcing services, building permit data and contractor profiles. These include enterprise-class businesses such as franchises, corporate-owned properties, and investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with enterprise customers such as franchisors, franchisees, corporate properties, and investors
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners within the segment’s ecosystem and ensuring that there are mutual win-win scenarios
  • Drive business results by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options, resolving internal priorities, and executing an account plan
  • Develop negotiating strategies by understanding value proposition for the enterprise around contractor sourcing and property profile data
  • Close new enterprise wins by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Update job knowledge and expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in the enterprise’s events
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments


  • 7-10 years of experience in business development
  • Sales planning, prospecting, and closing skills
  • Market knowledge and territory management experience
  • Presentation skills and professional acumen
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • History of meeting sales goals
