ROLE SUMMARY:

Dollar Shave Club has become one of the largest razor companies globally with market presence in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. We started as strictly direct to consumer and in the last two years have launched in retail across all major stores in the US, as well as in Amazon. But growth is not stopping there. We are looking for new opportunities, new people to shave & new stories to tell.

With that, Dollar Shave Club is looking for a Business Development Manager to help source & secure new opportunities both domestically and globally. This role is responsible for watching market trends, identifying new areas of growth, building business cases and fostering necessary relationships with internal and external partners to drive growth. Your experience will align with this role if you have a sales background, are analytical, self motivated, driven by finding unique ways to grow businesses, entrepreneurial and thrive in a fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Identify new opportunities

    •  Research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives.

    •  Research prospective accounts in target markets; Conduct financial analysis and develop

      proposals towards negotiation of contracts

    •  Responsible for identifying aftermarket risks and create necessary strategies to mitigate

      them

    •  Must be able to build a deep understanding of the men’s grooming industry and key trends

      within the category’s landscape

    •  Maintain market intelligence and trends

  • Action & Execution of approved opportunities

    •  Create & lead strategic presentations to stakeholders inside as well as potential external

      partners

    •  Pursue leads and move them through the sales cycle

    •  Negotiate complex sales agreements and contracts

○ Work with cross-functional teams to execute & bring approved opportunities to fruition (including but not limited to sizing opportunities & investments, building an activation plan, key resources, external milestones, success and OKRs

REQUIREMENTS:

  •  BA/BS degree; MBA preferred

  •  4+ years of experience

  •  Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales or a relevant role

  •  Proven sales track record

  •  Proficiency in English

  •  Market knowledge; with knowledge in men’s grooming category a plus

  •  Clear, decisive communication & negotiation skills

  • Adaptability & agility with a bias for action balanced with pragmatism

    POSITION TYPE:

    This is a full-time exempt position.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    This position has the option to be hybrid, occasionally working in our HQ office located in Marina Del Rey.
