As one of Octane AI’s first Business Development Representative (BDR), you will have an incredible opportunity to work with Octane AI's prospects, shape our sales process, and make direct contributions to the future success of the company.
As a BDR, you will be in charge of generating and qualifying leads, prospects and creating sales opportunities. You will track dozens of prospects, create forecasts, and make changes to our process based on what you learn. You will become an expert on our product and the ecommerce and chatbot ecosystems and will work closely with Octane AI’s founders and sales team.
As an early member of the team, you will have lots of opportunity for advancement and for providing your input on Octane AI’s overall strategy and product.
- Become an expert in Octane AI's product. You will know the best ways for merchants to make money with Octane AI.
- Connect with and develop relationships with key prospects and accounts.
- Manage a constant pipeline of leads and prospects.
- Take detailed notes and record your interactions with prospects in our CRM.
- Help us optimize Octane AI’s sales and business development strategy.
- Report to the President of Octane AI.
- Ideally 1-3 years of sales experience. You ideally have been an SDR or BDR at another technology or SaaS company. With that said, we will take someone who is ambitious and highly motivated, no matter their experience level.
- Organized and detail-oriented. You log everything, don’t forget to send follow-up emails, and keep track of your relationships. You are organized, even in chaos.
- Experience with a CRM like Hubspot or Salesforce.
- Have great relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Are energetic, ambitious, and positive.
- Self-starter with a knack for always finding something to accomplish. We are a startup — we don’t have a lot of time to handhold you.
- Experience selling in ecommerce is a plus.
- The ability to work from anywhere in the world (as long as you can work U.S. hours.)
