About the role

24sessions/MessageBird is looking for an eager Business Development Representative for the Belgium market. In this exciting role, you’ll quickly and efficiently generate interest in our prospect based through outbound activities of prospecting and follow up. You will be responsible for building sales volume by uncovering, developing, and qualifying sales meetings with large Enterprise prospects in target markets then will work with the sales team to progress the opportunity through the pipeline to close.

Business Development Representatives are responsible for identifying and contacting the right decision makers through cold calling, emailing and leveraging social media tools for prospecting. Besides, you'll be working closely with the regional Business Development Managers (BDMs) to create a “winning plan” for large enterprises. This consists of validating businesses that are ready to buy, gathering relevant business data, creating organizational schemes, speaking with people internally, drafting outreach touchpoints and developing introduction calls.

What You’ll Do

  • Identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities from outbound activities through alignment with Business Development Managers and/or Business Development Directors.
  • Lead demand generation and campaigns from conception, planning, execution, and launch. Working closely with Marketing and Sales to select the right approach for every campaign. 
  • Engage with your prospects to build trusted relationships by providing insights tailored to their specific needs and interests.
  • Make a large number of phone calls (70+), both warm and cold to generate leads while consistently applying selection criteria to develop healthy opportunities.
  • Communicate our value proposition in a pitch to potential customers.
  • Provide follow up on demand-generation activities
  • Responsible for building sales/lead pipeline by meeting & exceeding lead generation (SAL) quotas
  • Create and maintain a database of contacts of current and future customers
  • Generate new business opportunities from both incoming leads and targeted account based outbound selling
  • Data entry of prospect and contact data in CRM database
  • Provide feedback to management on the effectiveness of outbound phone and email campaigns
  • Support and drive attendance to local and national marketing events
  • Identify and qualify high-value opportunities for the New Business sales team

What You’ll Bring

  • Full (professional proficiency), both verbally and written in French, Dutch, and English.
  • A proven passion for communications technology and software sales coupled with the determination, grit and hustle it takes to succeed in a sales development role.
  • The confidence and communication skills required to initiate phone conversations with C-Level, VPs, Directors, Founders, Heads of & Managers, navigate questions, and overcome objections.
  • The curiosity required to learn, understand and articulate 24sessions/MessageBird technologies and our value proposition
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities, you’ll naturally thrive in a busy, challenging role where you can take ownership of your success and contribute to a driven team
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • The drive and self awareness required to continuously learn and improve your sales skills
  • It would be a bonus if you have prior business development experience or have previously worked in the CPaaS/ OPaaS industry
