Our main focus is building the most advanced payment rails for Southeast Asia, with a clear goal in mind — to make payments across in SEA simple, secure and easy for everyone. We serve thousands of businesses ranging from SMEs to multinational enterprises, and process millions of transactions monthly. We’ve been growing rapidly since our inception in 2015, onboarding hundreds of new customers every month, and backed by global top-10 VCs. We’re proud to be featured on among the fastest growing companies by Y-Combinator.

The Role

xenCapital is Xendit’s very own financing arm. We provide financing to help customers to help reduce daily crunch and thus improve the cash flow overall. Many of our customers are startups and small businesses that find it difficult to get funding from banks and other traditional lenders. Easy access to capital gives our customers the fuel that they need to grow - and when our customers, their transactions grow, and we grow too.

For the past 5 years, Xendit has focused on building foundational payments infrastructure - enabling businesses to accept and send funds at scale. We’re one of the fastest growing payments companies in the region - growing in Indonesia at around 10% month-on-month for the past 3 years (30% MoM for the first 2 years), and becoming Indonesia’s first B2B Unicorn in 2021. In efforts to maintain our growth trajectory, our strategy includes:

  • Acquiring more customers
  • Building deeper hooks into our customers through new products
  • Improving reliability of existing products

At xenCapital, we’re trying to build deeper hooks to keep existing customers, acquire new customers, and be one of Xendit’s key revenue driver.

Mission

We're looking for business developers who are hungry to learn and willing to put in the time to grow our business (and themselves) faster than most places.  We’re looking for general athletes who are interested in product, sales, marketing, research, and customer success. 

Every Xendit business person acquires customers (sales) and makes sure they succeed (some combination of account management and customer support).  They then have their other main function, e.g. government relationships, product or marketing.  In practice, when you begin, we will have you work across different functions during probation.   Depending on your performance and preference, we tend to focus you in one of those areas.  

This is the tip of the spear and the very front of our organisation. The role is high stakes, where decisions can determine our future and you’ll be personally liable for our success.  

Outcomes

  • Customer success. Delight customers with your service
    • You can help customers understand why they need us (get them to go live on our platform), help them onboard (sales integration) and then maintain value by answering questions and advocating for them (customer support and account management)
    • Customers should be so delighted that they refer you more business and word-of-mouth drives most of your customer pipeline
  • Operations excellence. improve our current workflow
    • As xenCapital is ramping up, we need more help on vital roles like operations. Your task for the day is to discover, understand and document the processes of what we are doing and how we can do better.
  • Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed.
    • This means being willing to do end-to-end work, from high level research and strategizing, all the way to executing operations. We like generalists who are able to do a bit of everything.

  • You are agile, willing to work on various tasks of different natures if necessary
  • You communicate well across teams
  • You thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
  • When your coworker needs help late at night and it’s not related to you, you’re down to support them on menial tasks if it makes their lives easier
  • Preferably have business experience in consulting, banking, private equity fund, fast growing startup, financing companies, etc.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in consulting, payments or banking, especially if you understand how core banking systems are run
