Campaign Specialist

We are looking for someone to help us inspire and equip developers and other software builders to achieve their goals and scale their applications.  We need your help to put the right content in front of the right developer at the right time. Your efforts will enable us to reach and inspire the global developer audience while showcasing how Twilio can help them solve their challenges while fitting into their existing architecture. You proactively identify improvements and ways to create a compelling story around how Twilio can enable a developer’s a product, brand or use case. The Communication-as-a-Service space comes with its share of unique user behavior & conversion modeling.

The ideal candidate craves this kind of uncharted water, will have a strong analytical background, and a hunger to make results happen. The goal of this position is to support Twilio’s strategic growth initiatives, be a key contributor to the overall marketing department, with a focus on growth and demand generation through all available paid media outlets


  • Lead the packaging and execution of growth marketing campaigns and content creation across multiple channels.  Primarily focusing on the paid and organic channels.
  • Work closely with product marketing and developer evangelist teams to produce relevant content that engages and inspires developers to leverage Twilio when they are considering a cloud communications solution.  
  • Craft stories and content that showcases how other developers have been successful with our platform.
  • Help identify the channel publishing strategy for our top of funnel outreach and develop an associated content strategy tied to the appropriate funnel stage of our new developers.
  • Work with the creative services team and campaign leaders, manage the development of innovative and engaging marketing assets including developer guides, SEM ads, emails, sponsored content, infographics, paid social content, landing pages.
  • Monitor performance of our campaigns against our current CPA targets and provide recommendations as to how to maximize the ROI.
  • Work cross-functionally with the marketing, product and brand teams to ensure a consistent message is pushed out via the growth team campaigns.


  • Strong technical writing skills demonstrated via blog posts and other written work.
  • Strong and diverse engineering skills - if you were writing code full time, you'd be a great performer. You also have a finger on the pulse of current development technologies across several platforms.
  • Track and work towards KPIs such as cost per acquisition, number of new developer accounts and other metrics that follow the developers lifecycle on our platform.
  • Experience in data modeling or software development.
  • Experience in ecommerce or online customer acquisition.
  • Operational understanding with AdWords, Facebook Ads, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, retargeting and tracking pixels.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, and/or mixpanel, and/or other performance tracking tools.
  • Concise verbal and written skills and an ability to translate complex subjects into key takeaways.
  • Experience with running A/B testing.

Bonus points:

  • B2B or SaaS marketing experience.
  • Operational understanding of SEO.
