Position / Title:  Analyst, Capital Markets


Pretium is a specialized alternative investment management firm focused on U.S. residential real estate, residential credit, and corporate credit with approximately ~$50 billion of assets under management. We are seeking an Analyst to join the Capital Markets team. The Analyst will support the Capital Markets team in the execution of an array of financings including securitizations, revolving warehouse facilities and term loans. This candidate will be required to have strong communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills as well as acute attention to detail. This position will report to the Head of Capital Markets and can be based in either New York City or Charlotte, North Carolina in accordance with the Firm’s hybrid (in office 3 days per week) schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with third party diligence agents as part of collateral preparation for both securitizations and weekly warehouse funding
  • Communicate with various internal teams in different geographies to aggregate collateral information needed for both securitization and warehouse financings
  • Pull market data to assess and analyze cost of financing trends across the broader securitization market
  • Provide management key market insights through the development of weekly capital markets reports
  • Assist with (and eventually lead) data tape preparation for securitizations and rating agency reports
  • Assist with (and eventually lead) the preparation of securitization marketing materials to sell bonds to investors
  • Collaborate with the Capital Markets team and underwriting banks to introduce innovative structural features to financings
  • Manage collateral documentation through third party data rooms for both securitizations and weekly warehouse funding
  • Financial modeling and capital planning for various Pretium investment vehicles
  • Foster and expand relationships with capital markets counterparts at investment banks


  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in finance with a focus on residential ABS or corporate finance
  • Self-starter comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with evolving roles and responsibilities
  • Strong preference for candidates with asset-backed structured finance or mortgage and corporate finance experience. Corporate credit experience is also a plus
  • Ability to recognize and analyze problems, and develop practical, executable solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Demonstration of character, integrity, and ethics
  • Prior experience in investment banking or finance positions; proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
