Reports To: Sr. Business & Category Director with a dotted line to VP of National Accounts

Summary

The primary function of the Category Manager Analyst is to serve as an advisor to and an analyst to the sales & leadership team, driving development and implementation of category initiatives to meet and exceed financial objectives. The Category Manager Analyst will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel category growth. Key role is synthesizing category trends & insights to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive category growth & deliver fact based selling stories for customer calls, internal planning, opportunity selling, long-term planning, & product expansion. Additionally, the role will support reporting responsibilities for the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Supports BeatBox Beverages core values and purpose
  • Proactively address sales team reporting needs by actively mining internal, customer, & syndicated data sources to determine industry & consumer trends in the category, delivering insights for customer calls & strategic planning. Data sources including IRI, VIP, and other data resources we may acquire in the future.
  • Build, maintain and distribute a set of weekly, monthly, & quarterly category insight reports and presentations to customers & the BeatBox Sales/Leadership team.
  • Analyze specific categories, geographies, retailers, & brands performance to develop optimization plans for BeatBox product by customer.
  • Deliver exceptional support, communication & value to the National Account team & BeatBox retailers.
  • Work with Finance, Trade Marketing, & Production departments to validate BeatBox’s strategy & plans will deliver revenue & value to retailers. 
  • Assist the Sr. Business & Category Director in preparing reports for corporate stakeholders including the Leadership Team & Investors
  • Assist all requests from Vice President of National Accounts & National Account team members for ad hoc reporting and analysis to support sales efforts.
  • Special projects as designated by the Sr. Business & Category Director and Vice President of National Accounts.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
  • Adult Beverage or CPG Sales experience (approximately 2-5 years), advanced analytical skills, basic understanding of consumer\shopper behavior and market research strategies, POG development understanding, and the ability to learn about consumer sales industry trends and working knowledge of the category management process. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel Skills are required.
