THE OPPORTUNITY

What You’ll Do

  • Find, validate, and scale strategies for apparel and nutraceutical sales
  • Assist in developing an inspiring culture that fosters strong leadership and recruits top talent
  • Help in executing the go-to-market strategy
  • Define KPIs to monitor and improve business performance
  • Develop strategic partnerships to further the company’s growth
  • Build conviction with customers and investors
  • Report updates to advisory board, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Manage disciplined financial operations, owning operational budget and managing runway
  • Voraciously consume information and network with industry experts to learn how things work, what people think, and what’s coming next in DeSci
  • Validate new initiatives by testing demand from relevant audiences like influencers and customers, and gauging new product feasibility through R&D and quickly building new revenue streams

You will do all of this in a network-first way: by building connections and collaborating with existing communities.

 

After 1 year, success looks like: you’ve generated $1.5M in top line revenue and $5M in contracted revenue for this company across 10+ strategic partners and influencers, have a team sized to fit the revenue being generated, and increase the broader adoption of the products, with at least 5 marquee names as well as smaller successes.

 

After 3 years, success looks like: this company is operating at scale and generating +$15M in annual revenue across multiple product lines and sales channels. 

You May Be a Fit if You…

Compensation

This is a Director / Senior Executive role for an early stage web3 startup, so the starting salary is $100k/year+ to target 250k+ with performance bonus plus equity and token allocation.

What you’ll be working on

Our client is looking for a Senior Executive Leader for this unique position. Relevant experience includes leadership of DTC marketing teams, an understanding of, and ideally connections within, the psychedelic medicine industry, supplement industry, fashion industry, or Web3 (specifically IPNFTs).

 

Apparel experience preferred over Ethnobotanical/ nutraceutical experience.

This is a unique opportunity to join an early stage startup leveraging blockchain technology, reciprocal business models, and an indigenous inspired nutraceutical product and apparel line with the goal of supporting indigenous intellectual property as a Senior Executive. 

 

The product concept behind the nutraceutical and apparel line are complete. Their advisors & equity partners include strategists for the largest technology companies in the world and plant medicine experts. We are raising money both through private investment and grants from charitable foundations supporting companies operating at the intersection of indigenous rights and blockchain technology. 

 

Now they need the scale - including additional capital raises, partnerships with enterprises and NGOs alike, and marketing - to get to the next level. Their founding team, which includes experts from the burgeoning psychedelics industry and blockchain industry (especially within the Decentralized Science -  DeSci movement), is looking for a leader to help move the company from early product development to mass adoption and validation, while continuing to spread awareness through the apparel line. 

Role Overview 

Exceptional people are foundational to the success of a great company and they are looking for a stand-out senior leader or equivalent role to drive and manage this early stage startup poised for exponential growth. 

 

The position is very entrepreneurial - they are not always following the established roadmap, and there aren’t always precedents for things like “explain how IP NFTs support indigenous populations.” But you will have extensive support. A strong advisory team through the company is ready to help guide you and execute alongside you. 

 

You will help lead this company and position it for success. You will be responsible for managing viral social campaigns, network-building, and forging partnerships. Most importantly, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the company’s growth strategy through influencer promoted apparel (festival wear, yoga accessories and apparel, bags, etc) and a cognitive enhancing nutraceutical product.

 

You will exemplify the values of their reciprocal business model and existing relationships with indigenous groups. But you will also show the world the enterprise readiness and maturity of the DeSci movement and help us show the world how to protect indigenous IP in a sustainable way. Your assistance in developing the sales, marketing, and channel strategy will help us scale to mass adoption.
