The Channel Account Manager role is responsible for developing the company’s sales through assigned channel partners. This role will implement and manage our go to market channel reseller strategy throughout their assigned partners or region specific to the K-12 market. The Regional Channel Manager will establish and maintain influential relationships with key reseller, enable and influence their selling and marketing behavior, track critical KPI’s, and ensure partner compliance that leads to an increase in year over year revenue exceeding company targets.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain productive, professional, and influential relationships with key executives at impactful distribution and channel resellers within the assigned region leading to a deep understanding of partner business organizations
- Meet and exceed assigned top line revenue goals for each partner while maintaining a profitable bottom line
- Develop a deep understanding of the Promethean hardware and software solution & ability to incorporate it into an organization’s larger portfolio of sales offerings with Promethean as the priority
- Aggressively grow partner sales pipeline within Promethean CRM through independent partner sales activities
- Effectively manage any channel conflict by fostering excellent communication both internally and externally
- Work closely with partner executives to develop performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive channel partnership
- Create agreed upon annual partner business plans, sales and marketing strategies reviewed and adjusted on a quarterly basis
- Collaborate with Channel Marketing on partner marketing activities
- Collaborate with FSR’s and Region Head(s) to align on sales opportunities in tandem with partner sales reps
- Build reseller mindshare and pipeline opportunities with coordinated sales outreach programs utilizing internal resources from Channel Marketing, reseller marketing, and sales teams to reach new customers
- Set MDF plans by partner to maximize ROI and manage expenditures within defined budge
- Ensure continual partner sales team readiness and work to build partner self-sufficiency via training
- Proactively evaluate and recruit new partners based on coverage needs, requirements, and changing competitive landscape
- Regularly evaluate market conditions and recommend necessary changes to partner coverage and partner programs to the RVP
- Forecast partner stock demand
Requirements:
- 3+ years relevant sales and channel management experience within the K-12 education market. 5 years’ experience preferred
- Experience selling/supporting technology with heavy emphasis on hardware solutions that required coordination with installers/others on-site
- Experience working at a large technology solution provider
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or relevant work experience
- Experience working with various partner types such as wholesale distributors, VARs, Integrators, NSPs, and MSPs
- Experience in negotiating and structuring new and existing partnerships
- Strong leadership skills and well-developed sales acumen
- Developed analytical skills for tracking and interpreting partner KPI’s and recommending action based on those interpretations
- Ability and willingness to travel approx. 50% of the time throughout your assigned territory
- Willingness and ability to host and lead compelling end user demonstrations and overviews of Promethean's software and hardware offerings to partners, end users, and educators
- Located in the Chicago area
Base Range: $102,000 - $132,000 + Commission Eligible
