Chief Communications Officer

The Challenge

Qualtrics is looking for a phenomenal Chief Communications Officer to own all global communications and public relations. You will be the author that defines a once in a generation company through a powerful, iconic storyline showcasing our category-leading XM Platform, thought-leadership, incredible culture, and company philanthropy. Your goal will be winning the hearts and minds of the market to expand Qualtrics' category creation and leadership. You will be a trusted senior executive and provide strategic counsel on internal and external-facing matters that affect the company’s brand and reputation. 

The Chief Communications Officer will:  

  • Devise the global strategy and corporate narrative for Qualtrics external and internal communications and public relations 
  • Lead and build a world-class communications and PR team to deliver measurable impact for the company and its mission and products
  • Build and activate PR campaigns that advance Qualtrics’ mission and strategy and further establish Qualtrics as the creator and leader of the experience management category 
  • Be a strategic advisor to the rest of the executive team about external trends, internal affairs, or competitor actions that may impact the company 
  • Develop and advance the executive communications platforms for Qualtrics’ executive leaders, including speaking engagements, interviews, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Create programs related to financial communications, crisis and issues management, public affairs, and more 
  • Serve as a Qualtrics spokesperson as needed for media or other public speaking engagements 
  • Manage relationships with various industry and business reporters, editors, influencers, and bloggers
  • Lead and manage relationship with external PR agency and other external resources
  • Build strong partnerships and work closely with other executives, marketing, sales, customer success, partners, subject-matter experts, and researchers to develop compelling content and stories. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in public relations, ideally combination of in-house and agency, with a focus on global communications, media relations, and issues management
  • Direct experience in enterprise software / SaaS industry 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a corporate narrative and global communications program
  • Executive presence and experience in serving as a spokesperson in sensitive situations
  • Experience leading and building successful teams 
  • Proven media relations skills and well-developed network of relationships with top-tier business and technology outlets
  • Proven writing and storytelling skills and a strong track record of developing written content without jargon 
  • Experience working at a PR agency leading media outreach efforts 
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
