POSITION SUMMARY
Taub Family Companies’ first Chief of Staff will serve as a right-hand partner to its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Marc Taub, so he can effectively fulfill his commitments and operate at the highest level. This role spans both the strategic and the tactical, working very closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to ensure accountability, execution, and delivery of strategic priorities. The Chief of Staff will serve as the organizational “glue” to propel initiatives forward and ensure proper follow-up when communicating both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about being an integrator, and possesses expertise in prioritization, project management, and creating scalable systems and processes while honoring the corporate culture that has been established.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief of Staff’s responsibilities will encompass three primary areas:

Ensure strategic alignment and coordination of priorities and goals

  • Maintain a collaborative and highly cohesive team aligned toward the same goals–including establishing, and adhering to, consistent meeting cadences
  • Create a strategic agenda for the CEO based on his vision and key initiatives; ensure team is aware and stays focused on it
  • Identify and implement mechanisms for ensuring progress towards goals
  • Serve as a highly reputable extension of the CEO to internal and external stakeholders, whenever necessary

Facilitate cross-functional integration

  • Execute projects/programs by translating to actionable steps, gaining cross-functional buy-in, and program managing
  • Maintain a collaborative and highly cohesive team aligned toward the same goals
  • Accountability champion–partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and activities
  • Foster an environment of transparency and collaboration across the organization; the COS will be a resource to CEO to remove obstacles preventing progress on strategic initiatives

Ensure CEO’s highest and best use of time

  • Ensure “quality control” of information and communication to reduce reactivity
  • Provide consistent and relevant briefing information to CEO, not only prior to key meetings and events, but on a weekly basis as well
  • Ensure time is properly rationalized and spent in the appropriate areas of focus
  • Attend key meetings and events with, or on behalf of, the CEO; ensure timely follow-up of all action items

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-9 years of professional work experience; experience and success in high-growth environments desired
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with the highest level of leadership and build rapport with internal and external partners
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Self-starter and quick learner with a strong sense of urgency and ability to see tasks through completion
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively at an executive level
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing complex cross-functional projects, including developing, coordinating, and communicating project plans and deliverables in an effective manner
  • Skilled in financial analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, operations, and/or acquisition integration a plus
  • Experience with strategic planning, organizational planning, and operational follow-through
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of an individual and act on them without direction
  • High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
  • Solid business acumen: you understand key leadership and managerial attributes to lead projects from end-to-end with multiple stakeholders involved
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems, structures, and ways of working with a collective team and executive office
  • Data-driven with a bias towards taking action to improve key metrics

SALARY
$160,000 - $175,000
