About the City Manager role:

The CLEAR City Manager is THE leader for a city in which we operate who has drive, passion, and energy to delight our customers and deliver excellence.  You represent CLEAR, and our brand, to the city with the objective of sharing the CLEAR experience with everyone.  You will provide leadership to our Airport team (General Managers, Supervisor and Ambassadors) and through your creativity, innovation, and drive – identify meaningful partners (e.g. Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Industry, convention centers) and high traffic areas to share the CLEAR experience.

City Managers are responsible for fostering a team environment and instilling and managing a customer-centric, sales and security culture. Specifically, you are accountable for (1) delivering revenue, (2) continuously improving the business, (3) building and leading a best-in-class team, (4) building and maintaining relationships in the community, and (4) managing operations (Sales, Service and Security).

Your accountable for:

(1). Management and leadership for all City and Airport operations; assess ongoing operational needs and organizing the team to meet and exceed the goals and objectives with a drive and passion to continuously improve the business and delight our customers

 (2). Lead, plan, and execute on the Airport and City’s goals, objectives, policies, and priorities

(3). Determine and execute on having the right staffing to meet and exceed our expectations for sales, service, and security.

(4). Attract, select, and motivate the team; pro-actively develop the team through coaching, feedback, and development plans.  Aggressively manage poor performance and swiftly resolve people concerns and issues

(5) Build and maintain strategic relationships with the city and airport stakeholders to achieve CLEAR’s vision and goals of bringing the CLEAR experience to every person

(6). Attend and participate in local professional organizations/meetings to embed CLEAR in the city, and to learn about changes and needs that result in opportunities for CLEAR

(7). Respond to media inquiries, city and airport concerns and issues, and community needs.

(8). Proactively communicate with the Senior Leadership team on opportunities to improve the customer experience, work plans, and strategic plans; make appropriate decisions or recommendations; create and implement immediate and long term plans for the city and airport

(9). Public relations, such as meeting with citizens, citizen groups, businesses, and other stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

  • A dynamic leader with drive, energy, and passion who inspires a team to achieve and maintain excellence
  • Builds meaningful internal and external relationships
  • Intellectual curiosity, thinks big, and uses data and insights to problem solve
  • Leverages data and analytics as part of the decision-making process
  • Connects the dots, and decisions are right a lot of the time…good instincts
  • Must roll up your sleeves to assist in getting the job done
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of management experience in a customer facing sales, service or operational environment.
  • Effective leader with organizational, administrative and project management skills 
  • Successful at strategic relationship building with city officials, businesses and agencies
  • Communicates with team members in a straight-forward and positive manner; provides clear goals, direction, and drives performance improvement and employee development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that motivates and influence others
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Expert in driving employee engagement, customer delight, sales and adhering to compliance standards
