The Opportunity

The Clinical Program Manager is a registered nurse (RN) position that focuses on supporting Teladoc’s Virtual Primary Care (VPC or Primary 360) robust quality assurance (QA) program. This includes: review, research and report member complaints and inquiries, sample and review provider consults for documentation standards/clinical appropriateness, and create policies and process for quality monitoring of care delivery and provider training.

 This role is also responsible for collaborating with the VPC MD in identifying areas for quality improvement and designing, implementing and measuring QI activities.  In addition, this position is responsible for writing clinical guidelines, policies and procedures, clinician training materials and other clinical quality content.  This role is responsible for coordinating the quality committee for VPC, including data gathering, meeting preparation, and follow up items to support the medical leadership.  This position will work closely with and support the VPC MD on quality care related responsibilities and will serve as the primary clinical quality resource collaborating with other departments such as Clin Ops, Product, and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead RN to work in collaboration with lead VPC MD on quality care, complaints, quality improvement initiatives and patient safety issues for large health plans, key accounts and other clients
• Writes clinical materials including but not limited to CPGs, protocols, policies, and procedures, clinical training content for MDs and other clinicians
• Work closely with the Associate Director Clinical Quality to ensure internal stakeholders understand applicable standards, policies and procedures, and efforts needed to maintain compliance.
• Serve as internal liaison to identify, track, and meet deliverables, escalate any issues or barriers that remain unresolved by the team, and manage all work-streams to meet deliverables and deadlines
• Leads organization wide initiatives for quality improvement using established quality improvement methodologies.
• Develop client facing communication and reporting
• Coordinate and lead Quality Improvement projects as identified by medical leadership.
• Collaborate with Credentialing professionals in provider performance evaluation.
• Generates departmental performance statistics. Monitor, track, and trend through incident reporting and facilitate appropriate provider reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree required and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)  preferred.
• RN required
• 5 years’ experience as an RN required, with at least 3 years in a Healthcare Quality role required.  Patient Safety/Risk Management experience preferred. Previous FPPE/OPPE , or provider evaluation development a plus. Familiarity with population health management, MIPS, or pay-for-performance reporting helpful. Familiarity with national quality measurement standards helpful (HEDIS, Stars, CAHPS, etc.)
• Strong medical writing skills
• Strong background in quality and process improvement
• Ability to set up project teams, necessary work streams and executive steering committees
• Experience with project management tools, spreadsheets, tracking deliverables and issues, meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiar with drafting and implementing policies and procedures
• Attention to detail
• Ability to understand health data and prepare reports both manually in Excel, and from an electronic health record (EHR)
• Positively collaborates with other employees and departments to complete objectives
• Comfort with change, uncertainty, and proceeding without a previous roadmap
• Comfortable working independently and communicating through multiple levels in the organization
