Clinical Studies Associate Co-op- Summer/Fall 2023

Job Overview:  

We are looking for an individual who is excited to support and advance the research of early-stage IoT medical devices. You’ll be working with a diverse group of people and providing exceptional customer service, while running IRB approved human subject studies that collect vital signs and echocardiograms. You will be collecting data points, performing entry logs, and creating study visuals. Lastly, you must be a hands-on team player with strong technical skills, have exceptional attention to detail, be about health care innovation, and be determined to stretch and expand your abilities. There is also the ability to cross-train in multiple areas of Casana. This position is based in Rochester, NY during Summer/ Fall 2023Compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support human subject studies including describing study procedures, obtaining informed consent, and documenting study results.
  • Contribute to the positive environment human subjects experience such as updating reading materials, photo slideshow, and appreciation initiatives. 
  • Assist with developing and distributing subject recruitment materials.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the Electronic Data Capturing and Quality Management system.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes, procedures, tools, and training to enhance clinical research activities, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of study procedures.
  • Analyze data and write technical reports.
  • Database entry, testing, and basic maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities as needed

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence.
  • A 3rd, 4th or 5th year student, currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, biology, or biomedical discipline. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional people and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and creative platforms (e.g. Canva, Adobe).
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete Good Clinical Practices and Human Subjects Protection training at Casana.
