Summary of Position
The Clinical Supervisor will provide direction, support, and leadership to a team of Community Based Clinical Trainees and Interns.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities
Provides individual and group supervision for Clinical Trainees per CTSS and/or ARMHS requirements through the MN Department of Human Services.
Manages intermittent audits of practitioners clinical charting.
Provides on-going feedback to their team to support their growth and development. Manages performance as needed.
Provides professional therapy/assessments and completes Diagnostic Assessments for Clinical Trainees on their team.
Reviews, edits, and signs all treatment plans and progress notes written by Clinical Trainees. Oversees all clinical charting for team members.
Manages an outpatient caseload and completes the required clinical charting for clients in a timely manner
Acts as a point person for external clients and customers (agencies, referral sources, school-based contacts, etc…) to address needs or concerns on behalf of the team
Participates in required staff and leadership meetings
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge

- Knowledge of family systems and their impact on mental health within the family.
- Knowledge of varied interventions with children/families/individuals in crisis
- Knowledge of policy and clinical systems expectations within area of responsibility.

- Proficient use of computers for communicating and documenting for clients and staff.
- Strong skills in managing a flexible schedule.
- Skills in working with a variety of cultures.

- Abilities

- Ability to transport self between client homes/clinic and/or community based locations
- Ability to provide necessary self-care
- Ability to work independently and implement time management strategies successfully.

- Education
-
- Master’s Degree in the mental health field, or closely related field of study (Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy) from an accredited institution.
- Active license in good standing from a professional board.
- Board Approved Clinical Supervisor/Rule 47 Certification preferred

- Experience
-
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Mental Health Practitioner in a Community Based setting. Three years preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.

- Work Environment
- Mental Health Services and Supervision are provided in the client’s home, in a clinic setting or can also be provided in the community

- There will be frequent interaction with persons who are mentally ill and emotionally upset.

- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
