Cloud Content Acquisitions Manager

San Francisco, United States

At Cloud Academy, we‘re builders. Learning new technology is just as exciting for us as building it. We do this through utilizing and developing cutting-edge technology and empowering students, developers, engineers, and companies to build and grow products with robust and constantly updated cloud skills. Now is your chance to join our talented team that delivers unparalleled educational content to developers worldwide.

Are you passionate about cloud computing, and excited by the idea of helping others learn about it? Would you like an opportunity that allows you to apply your knowledge of the industry to find the right people to create the most informative content available on cloud technology?

We are looking for someone to source and manage the best talent out there to create compelling courses, labs, ebooks, and blog posts. This job is part acquisitions editor, part project manager, part networking genius, and part editorial wizard. If you know the cloud computing industry, love connecting with people, know how to compel engineers to meet deadlines, and can identify good content, as well as transform less-than-stellar content into gems, this is for you. You’ll report to the Head of Content and your time will be divided between sourcing contributors to create content, managing contractors who are creating materials for you, and collaborating with our internal content, product, and engineering teams to make sure Cloud Academy creates the best possible learning experience for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Source contributors for cloud computing content based on needs defined by Head of Content.
  • Maintain a network of potential contributors so new content requirements can quickly be met.
  • Project manager delivery of content from contributors, including defining and managing deadlines, looping in colleagues to review content, and being responsible for the on-time delivery of quality content that meets our standards from contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud technologies.
