Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for automating, monitoring, deploying, and maintaining our production services in AWS and GCP. We build the tools and infrastructure supporting the full end-to-end research and development efforts involved in our rapidly evolving and growing security product lines. Critical to our success is our close partnering with engineering teams to aid in the design and implementation of products and business critical tools. With customers in the banking, airline, retail, and on-line services our data processing and ML systems handle nearly a billion transactions daily protecting end-users from account take-over, credential stuffing, and other automated attacks.

Typical day-to-day activities include participating in an on-call rotation, assisting in R&D efforts, automation tooling, ensuring security compliance, and providing guidance on how to best support our customers' needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supporting high up-time, customer-facing web services. Experience with modern microservices architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Terraform, and SaltStack are a plus.


  • Automate all the things
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Deploy regular software releases and hot-fixes
  • Ensure ongoing availability of all operational components of the cloud service
  • Continuously refine monitoring processes, configurations, and thresholds
  • Contribute to efforts in capacity planning and management
  • Create and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and incidents
  • Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new tools, features, and products


  • Expert-level GNU/Linux administrator
  • Solid understanding of the full web application stack, from bits on disk all the way up to Internet routing protocols, and everything in between
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure (VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, etc) in either AWS and/or GCP
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Bash, Perl, Go
  • Demonstrated history of responding quickly and decisively to major outages of complex web services
  • Ability to diagnose and correlate performance bottlenecks, network issues, failure patterns
  • Experience with automation tooling; SaltStack, CloudFormation, and Terrform
  • Experience with NoSQL datastores; MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with containers and orchestration systems; Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, Mesos
  • Experience with large scale streaming/batch data processing (Spark, DataProc, DataFlow)
  • A commitment to improving security in everything you touch

  • Bachelors Computer Science or related engineering discipline OR equivalent professional experience
