The Opportunity - Commercial Recruiter, Sales (6 month contract)

Please note: this is a 6 month independent contractor position, initially ending on March 31 2023.

As a Commercial Recruiter, you will select incredible Sales talent for FreshBooks. You'll be part of our Commercial Recruiting Team, partnering with our Sales Recruiter based in San Antonio and our Commercial Sourcer. The three of you will partner with Americas-based Sales Hiring Managers to solve pivotal searches to move our company forward. Your work will have a direct impact on Business Owners and Accountants (what greater pleasure is there for Sales Talent than closing a deal on products and services that truly help!), along with the revenue and growth trajectory of FreshBooks, all because of the Sales Teams you will help build.

What You'll Do as a Commercial Recruiter partnered with the Sales Team

  • Identify & Close: Identify top talent across Sales and Customer Support disciplines. Skillfully match candidates with the right skills and motivations to roles at FreshBooks.
  • Advocate for Diversity: Identify diversity gaps, apply equitable hiring best practices, engage and attract talent from underrepresented groups.
  • Own Experiences: Ensure a high quality experience throughout the process for both candidates and hiring teams.
  • Analyze: Generate and use data for regular and special reports and dashboards. Monitor and track performance data to understand success and challenges. 
  • Partner & Advise: Collaborate closely with your recruiting partners and hiring managers. Employ your expertise to guide your partners, drive improvements, solve problems and make strong recommendations.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • You have multiple years of experience working as a Commercial Recruiter and you understand that recruiting is both art and execution.
  • You are fluent using recruiting tools like applicant tracking systems, talent intelligence tools, hiring platforms, recruiting automation and data tools.
  • You manage multiple competing priorities with confidence, shift focus with business needs , and proactively manage expectations.
  • You understand recruiting metrics and have a track record of meeting (or exceeding) your goals.
  • You use data to inform and report on your searches.
  • You are focussed and thrive when working with a high level of independence.
  • You approach new challenges with a learner’s mindset, knowing that you might not know how to tackle every new search or situation, but are pretty sure that you can figure it out.
