Communications Associate

We’re looking for a Communications Associate to join our growing Communications organization. As the second in-house Communications team member, you will be a critical contributor to Robinhood’s overall narrative and report directly to the Head of Communications. In addition, you’ll also have constant interaction and weekly update meetings with the founders and leadership team. As a Communications Associate you’ll:

  • Develop company messaging and statements, press releases, blog posts, FAQs, and more
  • Develop PR plans to reach new audiences in different verticals (personal finance, women’s and men’s lifestyle, local)
  • Work closely with Robinhood’s PR agency and attend weekly catch-up meetings
  • Form long-lasting relationships with press, bloggers, and key influencers
  • Manage all inbound press requests and evaluate their relevance and value
  • Keep up to date on opportunities surrounding awards and conferences, and closely follow and report on changes and job-changes in the media industry
  • Coordinate, schedule, and staff interviews with reporters and plan necessary trips to conferences


Some things we consider critical to being a Communications Associate: 

  • 2-3 years experience (at a PR agency or in-house)
  • Experience (successfully) pitching business, tech, and consumer media
  • Obsession with business and technology news 
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects and initiatives with different (and often changing) deadlines
  • Strong writing skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
