Compliance Lead (Philippines)

What we’re looking for

You will support and manage overall compliance and enterprise risk consistent with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies and ethical standards. You will identify, assess, report, and monitor regulatory and legal risk impacting Xendit, and oversee the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations.

Primary Responsibility

  • Work with the Group Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to monitor and evaluate pending and current regulations issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Securities and Exchange Commission, Anti-Money Laundering Council and other regulators
  • Directs and oversees the Corporation’s compliance planning programs, ensuring alignment with overall short and long term compliance plans
  • Provides expert guidance, collaboration and support to the implementation process for key compliance strategies, initiatives and action plans 
  • Under the supervision of the CCO, develop and oversee a Compliance Policy Program
  • Oversee the timely submission of accurate and complete regulatory and ad hoc reports and surveysCapacity build and educate colleagues about regulations that apply to their work and work with the relevant stakeholders to develop directives, procedures, and best practices for operating within regulatory, legal and ethical guidelines. 
  • Conducts ongoing compliance conversations with Management and the Board 
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities, and takes corrective actions when necessary
  • Liaises with regulators, law enforcement and industry association at the direction of the CCO
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • You have at least 8 years working in compliance within the financial services industry, particularly in the payments, banking, remittance, or financial technology
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree on audit, legal, finance; Law Degree or ACAMS, or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable.
