The Compliance Manager is the central source of strategic management for all Customs, Logistics, and freight compliance activity. The role is responsible for delivering a robust customer and freight management aspect to the Logistics Operations Manager. 


The role is strategically charged with delivering freight accounts automation, customs digitisation using new to-be-procured tools, and also developing a digital playbook or customs guide identifying the most effective customs routes and keeping the end customer updated on customs progress.



What will you be doing

  • Digitisation of the Customs Process to increase efficiencies within the department
  • Rationalisation of the communications process with customers
  • Reduce Customs costs as much as practicable
  • Ensure Global Customs Regulations are adhered to
  • Digitisation of the Freight Accounts processes
  • Ensure the freight accounts team is conducting spot checks on invoices and work with our partners (freight forwarders/couriers) to resolve
  • Managing the Team Leader and subsequent Freight Account and Imports Sections
  • Managing the recruitment and training of staff
  • Facilitating the maintenance of training documents
