Compliance Program Manager

We are looking for an experienced compliance program manager in San Francisco to help build and oversee a variety of compliance and cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you will work to create a scalable compliance program management infrastructure, as well as handle the scoping and building of new compliance processes. Your work will support the ability to launch new products and international markets in a way that exceeds industry standards, supports Stripe users, and grows the business.
Stripe is both a technology company and a financial services company, and you will need to be comfortable straddling both of those worlds every day.  The right person for the role will enjoy dealing with that puzzle, seeking creative solutions and moving quickly, often in the face of ambiguity.
You will:
  • Create compliance program management infrastructure for future program scalability, including goals planning and project tracking.
  • Identify, scope, and build streamlined end-to-end processes to support traditional compliance requirements, including OFAC, AML investigations, KYC, and CDD.
  • Create metrics to measure success of new processes and procedures.
  • Work with engineering teams during product development to ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws, as well as financial partnership obligations.
  • Collaborate with US Compliance Officer and / or regional MLRO(s) to provide strategic planning on team growth, including quarterly and yearly priorities. 
  • Work closely with engineering and analytics teams to build new compliance products and monitoring functionality.
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • 6+ years of experience in a compliance / compliance operations role, AML or strategic consultancy, or related field. 
  • 1+ year of people management experience.
  • "Do it all" mentality and comfort handling a vast array of operational processes. 
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Excel or SQL abilities. 
You have:
  • Payments or fintech experience. 
  • Familiarity with MacOS and Google products.
