Consumer Marketing Manager SSA

We are looking for a Marketing Manager who will support the consumer marketing function in an effort to acquire new consumers, drive consumption and retention across the Free & Subscriber businesses. 

What you'll do

  • Implement large campaign roll-out and subscriber campaigns for key markets such as South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya, working alongside cross functional teams, locally & globally
  • Cull out consumer insights based on data available both on and off platform and enable development of campaign strategies
  • Understand regional market opportunities using both internal and external data to arrive at consumer insights and thereby, marketing approach & business objectives
  • Collaborate & work on the marketing brief encompassing creative and media mandates, working closely with partners to align on the same
  • Drive initiatives in high opportunity markets with the objective of acquisition and build awareness for the brand through new-age media
  • Partner with on-ground agencies and vendors to identify locally relevant touchpoints that can drive brand awareness, consideration and conversion
  • Investigate campaign performance to gain insights that can help build strategies for the way forward!
  • Collaborate with the global teams to bring in their best to the local markets while adapting it to what is locally relevant 

Who are you

  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of marketing and/or brand management experience
  • Extensive experience in brand, consumer insights, digital marketing, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams that deliver major new products or services in digital businesses, FMCG or retail
  • Experience & expertise in regional activation of national brands will be an added advantage
  • Extensive understanding of consumer behaviour and experience in implementing these insights into campaigns!
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to rationalize requirements, features and drive marketing efficiencies
  • High attention to detail and experienced in driving multiple, contending priorities simultaneously and independently
