Boxed is looking for a Content and Email Marketing Intern to join the Marketing team. You’ll create best-in-class emails, blog posts, product copy and other marketing content, working with the Head of Content as well as the marketing team, designers, and other teams. We’re looking for someone that loves to write and be creative, has a positive, can-do attitude, and thinks outside the Boxed.

You will:

  • Creating emails: write engaging subject lines; choose relevant products and content to feature; liaise with designers to create assets; write copy and choose images that are tailored towards driving sales as well as retaining customers; test emails before sending, and ensure they go out on time; report on email performance; brainstorm ideas.
  • Blog posts: write blog posts on different topics including food and recipes, DIY, organizing, events and life hacks.
  • Product copywriting: write compelling product descriptions for new products and refresh copy for existing products, using SEO best practices.
  • Other marketing content as assigned by your manager.

Requirements:

  • Have attention to detail, strong communication and time management skills
  • Be comfortable with HTML, Photoshop and Wordpress
  • Have experience with SEO
  • Have an eye for design, and familiar with following a style guide
  • Be results-driven and be able to report on why an email did - or didn’t - perform well
  • Be familiar with email service providers
  • Have a passion for marketing, content, social media and mobile/e-commerce trends
