Wistia is hiring a

Content Creator/Editor

Cambridge, United States

We are seeking a meticulous wordsmith to join the Wistia team. Do you love to write, research new topics, and come up with unique ideas for content? Do you also love to proofread content? We thought you might.

This role will join our Awareness squad—a small group within our Marketing team focused on increasing our website traffic and overall brand awareness. You'll spend the majority of your time writing and editing articles for our blog and library (our collection of free, evergreen learning resources). Content for the Awareness squad is playful, creative, and above all, useful. Ideally, we want our audience of marketers, video producers, and businesses big and small to read, chuckle, feel inspired, then share.

There are many topics to write about under the umbrella of video production and strategy, so we're looking for a self-motivated video enthusiast to jump right in and hit the ground running.

Examples of copy you might write:

  • A blog article about what to wear on camera.
  • A guide on best practices for testimonial videos.
  • An email promoting a recent blog article.
  • A blog interview with an inspiring customer.

  • Research trends in business video.
  • Write weekly SEO-friendly content for the blog.
  • Edit occasional pieces of copy (product pages, landing pages, emails, etc.).
  • Brainstorm creative approaches for incorporating video in our content.
  • Collaborate on measurement tactics and content strategy.

  • At least 1 year of experience in content marketing or a writing role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A keen eye for detail.

While these aren't requirements, we'd love to hear about it if you have an interest in video or past experience with HTML, SEO, etc.

This is a well-paid, full time job with all the standard corporate benefits like health & dental coverage, 401k, family leave, a flexible schedule, and a generous untracked vacation policy. Our office is located just outside Central Square in Cambridge, MA. We're right on the Red Line, surrounded by great restaurants, parks, and even a dog park.
