Twilio is hiring a

Content Marketing Manager

San Francisco, United States

The Twilio Content Team is growing quickly and redefining what it means to plan, produce, distribute and analyze digital content. Thousands of people engage with our content every month, and we’re looking for a content marketing manager to take our game to the next level.

We’re looking for a content marketing manager who will help us build a compelling library of content, webpages, and blogposts, targeted at developers, product managers and IT managers.

If you would love to shape the future of communications, care deeply about quality writing, and thrive in an environment of change and agility, then we want to hear from you.

The Right Candidate:

Your writing means business: You appreciate the art of excellent copy, but you know it’s not about creating fine art. You create communications that both inform and inspire the reader.

Your marketing copy gets attention and elicits action: Compelling, memorable copy is your superpower. Your copy stands out without being sensationalist, clearly communicates the key points, and drives toward the desired result while maintaining the brand voice.

You know the medium matters: When you write content, you think about how it will be consumed. You’re skilled at telling the same story across multiple channels (desktop, mobile, email, print, signage) in a way that’s integrated yet optimized for every touchpoint.

  • Develop creative messages for online and offline assets such as infographics, slideshares, ebooks, reports, whitepapers.
  • Author blog and social posts which support the marketing team’s lead-gen goals.
  • Own the Twilio style guide.  Empower others to be good at creating copy.
  • Help the Product Marketing team with copyediting requests to maintain style and voice control over any content that will see the light of day.
  • Collaborate and communicate with members of the product marketing and customer marketing team to brainstorm interesting content ideas that will grow our business.

  • 3-5 years professional experience writing short-form content for web and social, and long-form content such as blog posts, case studies and whitepapers, demonstrated with writing samples and/or a portfolio of work.
  • Exceptional writing, including the ability to adapt your tone of voice for various audiences and media formats.
  • Skilled at authoring creative, concise content under tight deadlines. Not afraid to get into technical details of code development.
  • Obsessive attention to detail. Errors and typos make your skin crawl.
  • Experience and/or understanding of creating content marketing campaigns to grow an audience.
  • Experience with Wordpress.
  • Experience using Eloqua or other email marketing tool.
  • AP Stylebook-trained.
