Content Producer (The YPlan Rocketship Programme)

This is a 6 month paid internship programme with a salary of £16k pro rata. We're looking for the best and brightest people at the start of their careers to join us in doing amazing new things – to keep the workplace fresh and dynamic, and to give you a unique boost into your future. This isn't an easy ride. A lot will be expected of you. You'll be given heaps of responsibility, you'll be asked to do crazy things, and you'll have to move incredibly fast. Responsibilities:

  • Own YPlan's event listings across the apps and website; you will  take on full responsibility for your published work as an editor, and uphold its accuracy and consistency above all else
  • Produce and edit inspiring copy to get people going to the best events around
  • Select and edit images on a routine basis, maintaining the aesthetic quality of our products
  • Source imagery to illustrate the events and organise our internal image library
  • Proofread, check facts and communicate regularly with the account management and commercial teams
  • Manage your own workflow and work to extremely tight deadlines every day
  • Brainstorm content marketing ideas and contribute to creatives across all channels
  • Solve operational problems and get involved in figuring out ways in which we can grow
  • Champion London culture and love sharp, concise wit
  • Ensure that our users have the best user experience for every single event displayed on YPlan
  • Get involved in other areas of the company and, given the time, have the opportunity to suggest and work on your own projects
  • Rock positive vibes and bring your A game; our company culture is crucial – we're working hard to achieve big things while having fun at the same time

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least one year’s worth of writing and editing experience
  • Working proficiency of Photoshop or other image editing software
  • At least a 2:1 degree in a relevant field from a reputable university, or equivalent 
  • Supernatural attention to detail. We can't stress this enough. An outrageously keen eye is necessary!
  • A creative and commercial mind; a lateral and methodical thinker, with excellent research skills
  • You should be well-versed in app and digital culture, and have empathy for users in this world
  • A dynamic and determined work ethic – the willingness to switch lanes as necessary, and go with the flow even when tasks seem impossible
  • A love for events, going out and having the best time ever
