About this role

Content writers at Grovo are responsible for creating engaging scripts for the thousands of video lessons in our content library, as well as custom lessons for individual clients. On a typical day, Grovo writers might write copy for a video that could teach a CEO how to be more empathetic in leading her team. Another could show a social media manager how to respond to a crisis without losing his cool (or damaging his company’s reputation). Our top performers work just as smart as they do hard; they write like experts, even when they’re not.

We have an outstanding in-house team of writers, and you’ll be part of a highly collaborative group, with staff writers at Grovo working as your partners in creating outstanding lesson scripts.

Your challenges

Within the next 12 months, you will have:

  • Successfully executed Grovo content campaigns based on pace set each quarter in partnership with the Grovo content team
  • Written copy that lives up to the expectations set in the content standards guide
  • Worked with product to build out a client facing, content creation tool (best practices for copy, examples, etc)

Your background

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise, and playful fashion
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines to deliver smart, clean and engaging copy
  • Can collaborate cross-functionally with instructional design, art, production, animation
  • Experience working at a industry leading content shop
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced and fulfilling environment -- building something great, together as a team excites you
  • Organized and structured thinking
  • Enthusiastic about learning 

Your background

What we’re looking for:

  • Professional experience as a writer or editor
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise, and playful fashion
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Relentless commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Located in NYC (preferred)
