Contracts Manager

As Contracts Manager, you would be the third member of Helix’s legal team. You would have an integral role in establishing and overseeing legal processes and policies, and work closely with the attorneys to support Helix’s business. As Contracts Manager, you will:

  • Develop internal processes to track transactions from start to finish, including overseeing contracts management system
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders for contract processing, negotiation, approvals and execution
  • Draft, update and maintain templates, playbooks and alternate provisions
  • Assist with negotiations of NDAs, services agreements and other vendor relationships
  • Coordinate legal holds
  • Manage the document retention policy
  • Organize and archive existing agreements
  • Maintain status reports for transactions
  • Coordinate other legal and administrative matters with business groups and outside counsel
  • Be client service-oriented, and work with the team to learn about new business and legal concepts and risks


  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years of contract management, paralegal or other comparable experience
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with using Google Drive, experience with a contracts management system and eSignature tools, and comfort with learning new programs and software.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick response.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of contract management
  • 1-2+ years of experience within a law firm
  • 4-6 years of experience in a corporate environment
  • Experience developing processes and process improvements
  • Experience working in health tech or biotech
  • Ability to work across different teams
