The Role 

Chronus is looking for a talented and passionate Contracts & Operations Manager to join our fast-growing team. This new position is ripe for an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual that can support Chronus in its next phase of growth. The role will work with the CEO to provide general legal, project management, compliance and procurement support and include a variety of duties as needed to support the business and the effective operations of the sales, CS and marketing teams. Typical activities include drafting and reviewing customer and vendor contracts in conjunction with external legal teams, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, managing contracts and ensuring data quality across key platforms while supporting other organizational needs as the team and business grows.


  • Drafting contracts in conjunction with external and internal teams
  • Overseeing existing contracts and ensuring that contracts and accounts are up to date
  • Managing the procurement process for new and existing customers
  • Revise, update and maintain the master service, non-disclosure, and other standard form agreements
  • Perform regular internal reviews of existing legacy contracts and ensuring legal and policy compliance prior to customer account activation
  • Negotiating key legal matters with external parties
  • Working with the Finance team to ensure that contracts are in-line with Financial Projections
  • Drafting and rolling out new policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures through effective processes and trainings
  • Develop and deliver legal, procurement and contract management system and best practices
  • Supporting the CEO in overseeing operational KPIs
  • Managing and maintaining key operational and data management systems
  • Monitoring and optimizing vendor expenses
  • Identify strategic key areas of operational improvement
  • Providing legal guidance and identify risk to internal teams
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal teams
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and legal colleagues to provide comprehensive risk assessment and management
  • Ensure that accurate and sufficient contractual documentation is developed to effectively document procurement transactions
  • Build relationships to deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders
  • Other legal duties and special projects as needed

REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Paralegal and Project Management background a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in the field of legal, procurement or contract management
  • Must be a resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, project manage and multi-task in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization (start-up experience a plus)
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and staff in a geographically dispersed environment
  • Good judgement in ambiguous environments, professionalism, and a high degree of integrity, particularly when working with sensitive, confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to focus and deliver on key strategic initiatives
  • Strategic negotiating and persuasive skills
  • Organized and disciplined in project management activities
  • Eager and driven to grow with Chronus and increase scope to absorb additional responsibilities
  • Competency in the Microsoft Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
