The Peek Finance & Accounting team is looking to hire a Controller to oversee all Accounting responsibilities within the business. This is a particularly exciting phase, as Peek Pro ( has become the fastest growing SaaS booking & reservation management solution for the tours & activities vertical and the team is scaling up to keep up with growth. This senior role will run all of the day-to-day accounting processes (revenue recognition, OPEX, A/P & A/R, etc.) with opportunities to run various operational projects as we scale (e.g., software migrations, integrations with Salesforce, etc.)


  • Serve as the primary contact for all Accounting & Basic Finance-related issues at the company
  • Build out Peek's Accounting team to support our growth  
  • Maintain general ledger system for growth and scale
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and reports
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and other close areas
  • Manage the accounts payable process for tours & activities operators on and Peek Professional
  • Oversee payroll process across two offices (SF and Salt Lake City)
  • Research technical accounting issues and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Interact with Finance and Strategy teams on various analysis and recommendations
  • Improve business processes, systems, and documentation
  • Provide supporting documents for audits
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and tasks as needed


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA
  • Prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
  • 7+ yrs of accounting experience, preferably with min of 2-3 at Big 4 firm + 2-3 at large tech company or fast-growing startup
  • A highly technical background with GAAP (US and international preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
  • Previous experience in audit or GL accounting (public or venture-backed preferred)
  • Mastery of Excel
  • Strong interest in technology and knowledge of the industry
  • Tech savviness
  • Previous experience working with SMBs a plus!
  • Familiarity with tools such as and WorldPay desired 
  • A highly analytical and inquisitive personality with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • A process-oriented work style, but flexible enough to thrive in a startup setting
