Seeking an Corporate Sales Associate based in Sydney

Hundreds of students come through General Assembly’s doors each week to gain skills to advance in their careers. In many cases, their employers are sponsoring their education. In this newly created role, you will cultivate long-term relationships with employers that are interested in developing their employees through General Assembly’s training programs. You will work closely with employers to understand their workforce needs and match General Assembly curricula to these needs.


In addition to reaching out to our current target list, you will be responsible for developing strategic direction while researching and identifying potential sales opportunities with valuable corporate clients and leading the way to making these partnerships happen, through cold outreach via email and phone, managing pipelines and follow up, testing new strategies and techniques, and providing meaningful and tailored information about General Assembly's offerings to prospective clients. You should be passionate and fearless while keeping the mission of General Assembly top of mind.


The Sales Team at General Assembly is the perfect balance between making money and serving others. You will be responsible for driving new sources of revenue that allows General Assembly to continue to grow, scale and change lives. Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience in outbound sales, enterprise sales, prospecting, admissions or recruiting
  • 3 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Competitive personality and drive for results; demonstrated track record of high performance in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Ability to think on your feet, try new approaches and bounce back when things don’t go your way
  • Exceptional closing skills while communicating in a welcoming and empathetic manner
  • Selling with empathy; understanding an individual’s wants and needs, and tying them into a compelling solution
  • Confidence pitching in both 1:1 and 1:many situations



Some background in startups, technology, design or education is a big plus, but it isn't a must. In fact, it's more important to us that you identify with our culture and ethos.
