RocketSpace is looking for a bold, creative marketing mind to join its growing team! This is new, dynamic role has been created specifically to help shape RocketSpace’s visual brand identity across all mediums. This is an exciting opportunity and a chance to make a huge impact at RocketSpace.

In this role, you will be the team’s tastemaker: Developing and evolving the overall look-and-feel, elevating our brand by injecting moments of brand personality, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to bring our brand to life across the company. We are looking for someone with the drive, talent, and passion to take our brand’s vision to the next level.
 
You should be a hands-on designer who is comfortable doing the design, as well as overseeing contract resources on a case-by-case basis for specific projects. Sample projects will include influencing the look and feel of new international locations and marketing assets across all mediums (digital, video, print materials, pitchdecks, etc.) and other creative services projects, ensuring they are infused with the RocketSpace DNA.

This person will have direct access to the executive team at RocketSpace and the position will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

A Little More About You:
 
  • 10+ years of creative services experience, with a strong focus on visual design and creative direction.

  • Proven track record of creating beautiful, delightful marketing assets.

  • Success working with executive leadership.

  • Power to influence peers / managers and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity.

  • Ability to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.

  • Strong Managerial capacities with ability to inspire and develop creative talent. At first this role will be an individual contributor, but there is potential to grow a team and/or manage contract designers.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong creative skills and ability to interpret the brand’s DNA into projects.

  • Ability to work cross functionally with several different departments and different levels of the organization.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in design or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience creating brand guidelines and look books.

  • Experience with designing, or influencing the design of, a brand’s office space or retail experience.

  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, and Javascript).

  • Prior experience leading a team of designers.

  • Experience with executing compelling design presentations to Executive Leadership and external partners.

  • Experience overseeing high quality design delivery for complex concepts and multiple stakeholders.

  • You ensure the consumer's experience is understood and advocated at all touch points.

Qualifications: 

  • You must be highly effective at communicating ideas and design decisions.

  • Deep understanding of responsive web design.

  • Fluent in visual designs, wireframes, storyboards and user research.

  • Strong facilitator and collaborator for designers and non-designers.

  • Highly experienced working hands-on with developers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Possess a strong design point-of-view and proven ability to communicate it.

  • Must provide a link to portfolio of work samples.
