The Credit Control Lead drives student achievement in the SPARK Schools network by ensuring that invoiced amounts are collected in accordance with the cash-flow budgets, thereby securing the long-term financial viability of the company and ensuring that a high-quality product can be delivered to students on a consistent basis.
The Credit Control Lead is integral to the SPARK Schools Support mission to create systemic change in South African education.
Managing a fast-growing credit control teamOversight of the management of arrear accountsAuthorisation of accounts for legal handoverReporting to directors on debt collection status, overdue accountsAdvising on improvements in credit control practices/processesOversight of accounts reconciliations Assisting with collection of outstanding accounts through both telephonic and written communication when neededAssisting with resolving of queries from customers Oversight of administration and communications with customers/parents through SPARK Schools accounts parent portal Interacting with other internal departments to obtain appropriate information to correct customer accounts where needed Matric/EquivalentComputer literateCredit control/debt collection backgroundCorporate credit control experience a distinct advantageAt least 5 years experience in the above role, of which 2 years related to managing a teamAppropriate training or diploma relating to credit managementAbility to manage a team in a fast-growing environmentAbility to participate as a team member and achieve agreed objectivesAbility to manage relationships effectivelyExcellent spoken and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritiseAn assertive but tactful mannerCalmness under pressureAn organised and methodical approachAbility to work on strict deadlines and targets.
